Jill has been singing since she could talk. From grade school to high school choirs, jumping up on stage with local bands in college, and most recently singing with the band the Stone Beagles. And yes, she’s one of those whackos you see in the car at the stoplight singing at the top of her lungs. Heavy Metal runs through her veins, but Classic Rock from the 70’s and 80’s will always be the greatest source of the greatest memories. She’s influenced not by one or two artists or groups, but by many; and by songs that have deep meaning, are musical masterpieces, and are fun to dance to.
Bass, bass, bass and more bass!
Paul started playing guitar just a few short years ago at the age of eight and started performing with his first rock band at the age of 13. Through the years he has played in many genres including acoustic finger style, jazz and classical. However his first love has always been playing electric guitar with a rockin’ good band, so he’s crazy about being a member of Field Day. Paul’s varied guitar background brings texture and color to Field Day’s sound and when soloing, he’s constantly pushing the envelope to bring the band’s listeners a fun and interesting musical experience.
Greg is one of the band’s lead vocalists and is a founding member. He started on sax in grade school and began playing and singing professionally in the late 70's. He has a college degree in music and has studied jazz extensively. He has performed with many bands, covering a variety of styles. Greg loves playing rock classics and really enjoys the diverse musical repertoire Field Day has developed through the years. In addition to his outstanding vocal talents and musicianship, Greg brings a unique flavor and variety to the band’s sound with his sax, flute and keyboard skills.
Tom started his musical career at age 6 when his mother thought it would be a good idea for him to become involved in something different so violin it was. Over the years Tom dappled and changed instruments until he found his passion playing the drums. Tom has performed with or fronted many national acts, such as Bob Hope and Jackson Browne to mention a few. Starred as a guest artist at the PAC theater in Milwaukee and other similar venues. Tom spent a season with the Oshkosh symphony, a summer tour in Europe with a Jazz ensemble, a season with the La Crosse Blue Star drum and bugle corps and Two Seasons with the Kids from Wisconsin. Throw in a handful of bands, 6 Albums and presto it’s 2018. Quite frankly, it’s all just been a “Field Day”.
